Correct Replacement Wheel Size to Fit with a 16x6-8 Size Tire

Will a 16x6-8 tire fit the AM20001 wheel? The tires I have are for an atv.

Hey Haseeb, thanks for reaching out!

The Steel Trailer Wheel - 8" x 3-3/4" Rim # AM20001 is too narrow to work with your 16x6-8 tire. Instead you need the Steel Trailer Wheel - 8" x 5-3/8" Rim # AM20011 to fit the larger width your tire size requires.

Hi Jon, thanks for getting back to me. I just wanted to double check this as I also saw an answer page saying I can use either wheel. To me it looks like the only difference in the mentioned tire is the height of the tire (16 vs 16.5) but both are 6" wide and have inner diameter of 8". So is it really not going to fit?

@HaseebA Yeah, that answer page is incorrect and I'm going to send in a note to have it corrected. That tire is designed to fit a 5-3/8" wide wheel so it will be too wide for the smaller 3-3/4" wide wheel.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
