7K suspension Replacing spring bushings. 9/16 X 11/16 X 2 Can I replace the nylon bushings with bronze bushings and wet bolts?

Hey Charles,

Yes, you can replace nylon bushing with bronze bushings/wets bolts, you'll just want to make sure the useable length matches for both the bolt and bushing. The Step Wet Bolt for 1-3/4" Double Eye Springs # 34007-187-00 you were looking at has a 2-1/4" useable length so it would work with up to 1/4" thick shackle straps. For the bushings you can go with part # K71-291-00.

You'll also want to make sure that you're keeping up with routine maintenance so that the bushings don't wear. Some hi-temp grease # L11390 will keep your bolts/bushings well lubricated and ready to go.

My springs and bushings are 2".

@Charles So it looks like we only offer nylon bushings # TRBU12566 in a 2" length but you should be able to find them elsewhere still. For the bolt a 2-5/16" useable length like part # LC126238 would be suitable.
