7-Way Wiring and Brake Controller Recommendations for a 1997 GMC 1500 Pickup

I have a 1997 GMC 1500 farm truck. Owners manual says it has a factory tow package. It currently has a 4 pin connector that I need to convert to a 7 pin round to tow a trailer with brakes. Additionally, I need to install a brake controller. Any product suggestions? Thanks.

Hey Terry, thanks for reaching out!
since your 1997 GMC 1500 currently just has the 4-Way we need to get you setup with the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 for a 4-Way/7-Way socket setup, and then for a brake controller I recommend the Prodigy P3 # 90195 because of how reliable it is and how easy it is to use.
All of this will hardwire into your truck so you'll want to reference the linked videos and installation instructions for your application.
