Can I Mount the MORryde RV Generator Slide Out Tray MR79RR on a 5th Wheel Bumper?

Question:

I want to use the MORryde RV Generator Slide Out Tray - 25-3/4inch x 26-1/4inch - 100 Percent Extension - 300 lbs Item MR79RR and install it on the rear bumper of my OutDoors RV F28RKS 5th wheel. I would put a Firman 3200 W 111 lb Is this a realistic application for this Side out?

No, it really isn't but I have a solution. The MORryde RV Generator Slide Out Tray item # MR79RR is designed to be mounted in storage compartments. It needs a sturdy base to support the weight of your generator and you're not going to be able to get that mounting it to the bumper on your OutDoors 5th wheel trailer.

Instead, I recommend the Mount-n-Lock GennyGo Generator and Cargo Carrier for RV Bumpers item # MNT34FR. This bolts directly to square RV bumpers that measure 4", 4-1/2", 5-5/16", and 6" and rectangular RV bumpers measuring 4" to 6" tall and 2" to 6" deep. It has a lower capacity at 200 lbs but it'll still be more than enough for your Firman 3200 W generator. I took a look at the dimensions of your generator and it'll fit perfectly with the item # MNT34FR.

Thank you that was great information. One of the comments/ reviews mentioned that I should also order a MO34VR support struts. Do I need to order that as well or is it part of the package you recommended?

@Larry You're welcome! It's not going to hurt to add the Mount-n-Lock SafetyStruts item # MO34VR but you're not going to need them with your generator. They'll increase the capacity of the item # MNT34FR to 400 lbs. They are not included.
