Hello Ryan; I would be happy to provide you with a complete list so you can get your Colorado ready to go and hit the road with your motorhome. You will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, wiring, and a supplemental brake system. I recommend the following:

-Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM28GR

-Roadmaster Falcon 3HD Tow Bar # RM27NQ

-Roadmaster 80" Hybrid Coiled-to-Straight Safety Cables # RM-674

-Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-15267

-Roadmaster Battery Disconnect for Towed Vehicle w/ Flat Tow Brake System # RM-766

-Curt RVi Series Shadow 2 Flat Tow Brake System # RVI94FR (includes charge line)

The Roadmaster setup is going to be the best and most reliable. The Shadow 2 is your best option for a permanent brake system unless you prefer the portable Curt RVi Series 4 # RVI44FR. If you get the portable system you will also want to add the Curt RVi Series Towed Battery Charger+ for Flat Towing # RVI74FR.

The only other thing you may need is a high-low adapter like the # e52ZV to keep your setup level. I went ahead and attached an article further down on this page which explains how to measure and choose the right adapter.

Any big plans once you get everything installed and ready to go on your Colorado?

Hey Ryan, how did your flat tow setup for the Colorado come together with the Roadmaster parts and the Shadow 2 brake system? It’d be great to hear how everything worked once you got it ready to roll. Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up a similar tow rig.
