Question:

I am looking at 24971 or c11523 for my pruis c. they look similar and have the same spec for towing, what are the differences other than install time?

Hello Kent, great question. Both of the hitches we offer for the 2018 Toyota Prius C, the Draw-Tite # 24971 and the Curt # C11523 are extremely similar. Basically, we have two different manufacturers versions of the same custom fit hitch. The weight capacity for both hitches id identical as 2,000 lbs towing and 200 lbs of tongue weight. The only noteworthy difference is that the design of the Draw-Tite # 24971 hitch makes it slightly easier to install. You will not have to temporarily lower the exhaust when you lift the hitch into position. Lowering the exhaust is a pretty easy step, but if you want to avoid that, the Draw-Tite hitch will be the way to go.

It is worth noting that the Curt hitch is made here in the USA, while the Draw-Tite is made overseas.
