Question:
I have a separate blue wire for my brake lights. I am wiring up a 4 pin 4 wire connector. Do I need a jumper between blue and brown in order for my brake lights to work.

Since your brake wire is separate from the turn signal you will need a converter. The Curt 2 to 3 Wire Tail Light Converter # C56196 will separate the turn signal and brake signal. Wire this into your 4-way on the trailer side and connect your blue wire to the red stop wire.
