Can Strut Assist Be Added To Existing MORryde Steps on 2023 Cougar 5th Wheel

We have a 2023 Cougar 5er with the Morryde steps that lift up and store behind the outside door. Darn things are too heavy for my wife to bring down or move up. I notice that Morryde has steps with the Strut Assist to make that easier. I dont want to buy a whole new step to get it $600-$700. Does anyone make a kit to install a gas strut on existing steps? Thanks!

I'm sorry to say that adding the strut assist to your existing steps is not something that is possible. They use different hinges so the only option is to replace them completely. You can choose from the following based on the width of your doorway:
-23-3/4" to 24-1/4" Wide Doorways - 3 Steps # MR45RR
-23-3/4" to 24-1/4" Wide Doorways - 4 Steps # MR75RR
-27-3/4" to 28-1/4" Wide Doorways - 3 Steps # MR65RR
-27-3/4" to 28-1/4" Wide Doorways - 4 Steps # MR85RR
