This exterior wall vent is built to protect your range hood exhaust from rain and moisture. The integrated canopy shields the vent opening, while the built-in damper helps block water and wind from getting inside. You can even lock the damper closed using the pivoting latches when the vent isn’t in use, giving extra peace of mind in bad weather.
With a 1-3/4" collar, this vent fits snugly against the exhaust outlet so air flows freely without gaps or rattles. Once sealed, it keeps the wall tight against leaks and drafts while giving a finished look from the outside.
Installation is simple—cut a 10-1/2" wide x 3-3/4" tall rough opening, apply sealant, and fasten the vent with 10 screws (sold separately). The flange overlaps your outlet flange for a secure, watertight connection.
Made from tough black plastic, the vent stands up to outdoor conditions without rusting or fading. The surface wipes clean easily, so it stays looking good and working smoothly over time.
With overall dimensions of 11-9/16" long x 5-1/4" wide x 4" deep, it’s compact enough to fit neatly on the side wall while still giving full ventilation performance. It’s the simple way to keep your range hood exhaust protected and working efficiently year-round.

Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our Ventline Exterior Wall Vent for your RV range hood. Now this uses a one and 11/16th inch collar in black. So zooming in here, you're gonna get this outside cover. And as you can see, it's got vents built into it. And then the actual vent itself is actually this piece here.
And then this can obviously vent open to allow that ventilation from the inside of the range out. So when you have this outside cover over it and you've got that fan running, it's actually gonna open up probably about that much. And then it's gonna allow for the ventilation to come out and vent out. So nice, hard, solid piece of plastic. This is a two piece here.
Everything here has been molded to be super strong and durable. It's gonna fit a 10 and 1/2 inch long by three and 3/4 inch tall rough opening. You're gonna want to get some sealant and screws sold separately to put around this whenever you push it into the hole on the install. And then whenever you pop this on the outside, it's gonna snap into place. I'm gonna leave it off for now, but it'll snap into place and then you'll be all set up, ready to go, keeping rain and mud and any kind of road debris out and bugs and all that stuff from, from being able to come in.
It's gonna keep all that blocked out. Now this again will attach to the outside wall where your existing ducting or outlets exist on the RVO trailer for that vent. So again, if you don't have the rough opening, you can cut a new hole. Just make sure you're measuring many, many times before you cut anything and check to make sure there's nothing inside the wall while you're making that cut. Now this also features a pivoting latch.
So it will let you lock the damper in the closed position. So down here on the bottom, you can pull that down and that will lock that damper in the closed position. So very nice feature. This is the Ventline Exterior Wall Vent for your RV range hood. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.

Ratings & Reviews
Looks like a perfect fit however I have not installed as of yet. A helpful addition to the product description would be the outside dimensions of the finished frame.
The damper fell out of my old original range hood vent. It lasted 16 years so I can,t complain. I ordered a new vent from etrailer and it works very well. The price was more than fair also. Thank you all for providing excellent options for products and lots of info to go with them.
This purchase was a replacement for the exact vent that I purchased in 2020. Originally I gave this product a high rating. One year later as requested I updated my review noting the plastic had turned yellow, the locking tabs for the vent door required a ladder to operate and the vent flap was annoying as, unless it was locked, would clatter in the slightest breeze. This month 2023 I was washing the rv in preparation for a trip and I hit the center of the vent hood with a wash brush. The center "reinforcing" post broke off and the vent hood cracked. The plastic was not only yellow but now was also quite brittle. This is the third vent for the rv. The original 2006 Ventline lasted until 2020. The second 3 years. I purchased another as I was about to go on a trip and knew the replacement would be a no hassle install. etrailer expedited the shipment and generously waived shipping fees in consideration of the previous replacements short life span. I greatly appreciate their high quality customer service.
The vent that I just received is, as other reviewers have noted, constructed of thin material and was apparently not trimmed after being removed from the mold. I will shop around before replacing with another Dexter Ventline again.
My sealer tape and caulking skills need help but this is a very good direct replacement part all screw holes line up great part
Direct replacement for a 6-year old exterior wall range hood vent on my 2014 Grand Design RV. Simple installation, just 10 screws and re-caulking to keep the water out. Great price and fast shipping from etrailer.com !
After accidentally leaving the damper flap unlocked for the drive home, it mysteriously decided not to return home with us. It flew away mid travel I have to assume. Etrailer.com had exactly what I needed to return to stove top vent flap happiness. Highly recommended as etrailer.com stocks exactly what you need for your R.V.
My new trailer came with a stove vent that exhausted to the inside of the trailer making it unbearable to cook inside in the hot sun of Florida. I modified the fume hood so it could vent through the wall the way it should have been in the 1st place. This plastic vent cover worked as good as any could be expected to do so and provided a neat appearance to finish off the modification. Reasonably priced to boot.
I have been a satisfied customer of etrailer for years, however my most recent order was substituted with a different brand. I specifically ordered this Ventline product because my rv has a Ventline brand hood on it, and the color sounds desirable. What I got was a Dexter brand. It looks similar but it is not what was advertised, nor what I ordered. I emailed etrailer immediately upon discovering this to get their input or resolution. That was on a Friday afternoon so not surprising I haven't heard back...yet. I just don't want to settle for this substitute and find it doesn't fit perfectly and I have a gaping hole in the side of my rv while I search for a Ventline vent.
Good product, strong material, took a little longer to come then I expected.
Right size
As advertised. Fits great
This was an upgrade from the original on my trailer. The original had turned grey and chalky looking and was disintegrating from the sunshine so it had to be replaced. The Ventline fit nicely (although not to the original holes but that was not an issue). The original was a wasp hangout while the Ventline won't let the wasps in. I am happy with it.
Love this item! The screen and locking feature is so much better than older models.
Vent fit in existing hole and much better quality than OEM
Good fit and finish. The mounting hole pattern was different but I was able to easily re-drill holes to match the existing holes. Overall, very happy with the vent and it also looks good on the coach.
The hinge tabs on the top corners of the flapper that work to allow the flapper inside the vent to open when airflow happens and close to insulate the inside of the vent are not strong enough. I broke them easily when trying to reinsert them after the flapper popped off during installation. I suggest the manufacturer make the posts thicker and longer and more resilient to bending so that the flapper can be removed when needed and also stay attached and in place when inserted into the housing without breaking off.
Replaced old range hood on '89 Class C. Fit like OEM. Wife loves the "new look".
Happy Wife happy life......:)
A replacement vent shroud that includes a coarse screen-like grid and a easy to use flap-lock to keep it closed during travel.
The knowledge and service of E trailer associates is impeccable. Kevin spent the time and did research to help me find the proper part that my Jayco dealer could not find. I had been waiting for over three weeks for news from the dealership to no avail. With one call to E trailer I had the part delivered to my doorstep in three days.
