Question:
Hi, I just bought a truck with some sort of hitch in the bed. It is missing the part you put into the bed to couple to a trailer. I was hoping I could send a photo and you could help identify what it is? Thank you

Hey Cameron, that looks an awful lot like an aftermarket puck system made by Reese. You could confirm this by either looking under the truck for some kind of label on the brackets. Or you can measure the distance between the holes. They should be 30" apart across on center and 13" front to back on center (see picture below). If this is correct it means it is a Reese underbed puck system, which has an identical footprint as the Ford OEM puck system.
What kind of trailer do you need to pull? Gooseneck or fifth wheel? For a gooseneck you can use the Reese Elite Series Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # RP30845. Or for a fifth wheel you can use the Reese M5 Fifth Wheel Hitch # RP30921. These are just examples of compatible hitches. If you can tell me the YMM and bed length of your truck, and what kind of trailer you are pulling, I can make a more accurate recommendation if needed.
