Can Bar Mount Assembly for Older Thule Hullavator Compatible with the Thule Hullavator Pro

Question:

Hi - I have the current Thule Hullavator 898. Will the brackets bar mount assembly for the 898 fit the older 897xt Hullavator? I have the opportunity to buy a used 897xt without brackets, just want to know if I can attach it to my 898 brackets. The pistons on my current 898 are a little wimpy, my older 897xt seemed stronger piston/springs, so want to buy this used 897xt. Thanks

The "Bar Mount Assembly" listed out for the Thule Hullavator Pro # TH898 is different than what came with the older 897XT so I don't see these parts fitting together.

If the problem is needing to mount the older 897XT system to a specific crossbar type please let me know what crossbars you have and what mounting parts you have (or even the parts you're missing) and I can see if those are still available for you!
