Yes, you'll need to have the hitch ball torqued to your ball mount. The torque ratings will vary depending on the hitch ball size and weight capacity but generally these ratings are a bit higher and the manufacturer will let you know what the rating is.
For example, the 2" Hitch Ball # 63845 is rated for 7,500 lbs and has a 250 ft-lbs torque rating. For something this high you might need a shop to install the hitch ball for you.
