Can You Trim SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs SS26MV & Will They Still Work

Question:

can you cut down sumo springs to fit as my distance between frame and leaf spring is only 4.5 in and if cut down will they still work?

Hey there Ken, that's a good question and the answer is yes, per the nice folks at SuperSprings, you can go ahead and trim the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # SS26MV.

They will still work for your trailer to give your trailer a much more stable ride, and take a lot of the wear and tear away from other components, particularly the leaf springs.

The # SS26MV are for 5,000 lb to 8,000 lb overslung axles, which means the leaf springs will be mounted above the axle.
