How Far do Rails Protrude on Ford Super Duty Standard/Short Bed w/ Pace Edwards Switchblade Tonneau

I would like to know the width the rails that protrude into the bed as I pull a 5th wheel and need to maximize Pin Box clearance.

Hey David; I checked directly with Pace Edwards for you and can tell you that the rails on the Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # PE46QJ will protrude just under 3/4" on both sides when installed on your Ford Super Duty standard/short bed.

Per Pace Edwards, with the # PE46QJ installed, you will have 59-1/16" between the rails of your truck, so you're not losing much space at all on the sides. This is a cover people regularly use with a 5th wheel hitch installed so I can't imagine you'll have any type of clearance issues.
