2024 Toyota Highlander Parts Needed to Install a Brake Controller Without Factory Tow Package

Question:
My 2024 Toyota Highlander doesn't have the factory tow package but I'm needing to install a brake controller on it. I've been towing some smaller trailers that don't have brakes but we're looking into getting a camper that does have brakes and I want to be able to bring it home safely if we end up purchasing it. Thanks!

Since you already have a 4-Way on your 2024 Toyota Highlander we just need to get you a complete wiring kit and the brake controller itself.
For this you need the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 for the wiring and then I recommend using the Curt Echo In-Line # C79DR for the brake controller because it installs up and under your Highlander back by the hitch receiver. You'll then make any adjustments via the phone app so you eliminate having to install anything inside your vehicle.
Attached is a review video of the controller as well as an installation video of the Universal Wiring Kit for you to check out.
