Question:
I have a 4x8 Harbor Freight trailer. I want to change the hubs out so I can use some Jeep wheels/tires. I believe the bolt pattern is 5 x 5 inches and the lug nut size is 1/2 x 20. If I cant just replace the hubs, do you have an axle that will work for me?

Expert Reply:
Harbor Freight trailers don't use standard trailer axles so replacing the hubs gets challenging so replacing the axles would be the way to go. I'd need the distance between the spring centers of your current axle as well as the distance from hub face to hub face and I'd be able to pick out the correct axle for your application.
Or you could go with a Timbren axle less setup which is a unique setup that attaches to the trailer frame and doesn't have an axle beam. We have a setup that would allow for the 5 on 5 inch bolt pattern as well if you went with the # ASR2KHDS03 and the trailer hub part # AKIHUB-550-35-K.
