Question:

Hello, I have a lowes 5 x 8 utility trailer that i would like to do an axel flip on. Trailer has a 1.75 dexter axel. i cannot locate any conversion kit for a 1.75 axel except to purchase a spring seat that requires welding. If i was to purchase a 2 3/8 axel are there any that already have the spring seat configured to mount on the bottom of the springs vs top of the springs?

Yes we can get over or under slung axles. It would be very similar to the Dexter Idler Trailer Axle w/ Hubs - EZ-Lube - 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 60" Long - 2,200 lbs part # 20545I-EZ-60-10 but you would have them custom make it with the spring perches on the other side.

You can also simply have them switched. Getting the Dexter Idler Trailer Axle w/ Hubs - EZ-Lube - 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 60" Long - 2,200 lbs part # 20545I-EZ-60-10 above and the Spring Seat for Typical 3,500-lb, Round Trailer Axles with 2-3/8" Diameter part # TRSS238 and simply have them welded on the top rather than the bottom. Of course the old ones can be removed and discarded.
