Recommended 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for the GM Puck System

Question:

I had a 2018 Sierra 2500 HD and had a Q20 Slider puck system. I currently bought a 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500. Can I just replace the mounting rails or will I have to replace the whole hitch as the factory puck system is narrower.

Congrats on the new truck! You won't have to swap our your Curt Q20 Hitch but you will need to use an adapter because GM changed the puck pattern in 2020. The correct adapter is the Item # C88KR you were looking at. This will mount directly to the puck system in your 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500 and give you a base that works with industry standard 5th wheel hitches like the Q20.

Please note that this will add 2-1/2" of height to your 5th wheel hitch when installed.
