Im looking for a written statement from Lippert, stating gooseneck hitches will void my frame warranty.

Currently the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter # RP85FR is the only adapter Lippert approves for use which will not void the Lippert Limited Frame Warranty. This information can be found in the Lippert document CCD-0004318 which you can find by searching through a search engine like google as I am not able to post this document on our site.

The Adapter # RP85FR does fit in place of Lippert 1621, 1716, 0719, Rhino, and Fabex PB 600 series pin boxes and has a weight capacity of 20,000lbs with a tongue weight capacity up to 5,000lbs. Please let me know what pin box you have as you will also need Safety Chains # RP49151 and may need a spacer kit like the # RP97FR

Hey bud, I just got off the phone yesterday with Steve Boulet from Lippert frames and he stated that the only hitch that they will except is the Curt He told me if I purchased anything else it would void my warranty with the Lippert frame, which means if there’s any sidewall cracks, they’re not covered and the roof would have an issue. It is not covered any other information right now. My RV is sitting at Keystone and I have not picked it up, but it has been paid for.

@Tracey I'm not sure who you spoke with as I just got off the phone with Lippert and they couldn't find any Steve Boulet in their company directory. Also they verified as the Lippert document CCD-0004318 states the Reese Goosebox is the only approved gooseneck adapter which will not void the Lippert warranty.

@BudM Hey bud, I spoke with Dean Boulet at Forest Rivers ( this is who Rebekah at Keystone said she called and asked and told me to speak with him and he said only Curt accessories) this morning and he referred me to Lippert and said they need The four numbers off the frame to match a goose box to the RV. This is seriously been nothing but an aggravation dealing with Keystone RV in Pennsylvania. No one has answers. I asked them what do I need to buy That’s acceptable they said a Curt Is the only acceptable hitch I said OK which do I need, we don’t know was the Reply I said OK do I need a 20,000 or 30,000 pound she says oh I think a 20,000 will do After speaking w Michael at Lippert I called Keystone and asked him for the 4 number tag and am waiting to hear back

@Tracey Wow, that does sound confusing. I personally have never had a good experience dealing with either Keystone or Forest River directly as they tell you to deal with a dealer. I know you said the 5th wheel is sitting at Keystone but if you can get them to send you a picture of the LCI tag on top of the mounting arms for the pin box I can contact Lippert directly and find out exactly what you need.
