Allows your B&W 5th wheel-to-gooseneck pin box to fit a Lippert 1116 or 1716 mounting bracket. Shims compensate for the wider 12-1/2" pin box mounting plate spacing.
If your trailer has a Lippert 1116 or 1716 pin box bracket, the wider mounting plate spacing leaves extra room around the B&W BW73RV adapter. This shim kit takes up that extra space so the adapter fits the 12-1/2" spacing of your existing mounting plates. That gives you the proper mounting width without having to change the pin box bracket already on your trailer.
The shims install between the B&W adapter and your trailer's existing pin box mounting plates. They are specifically made for using the BW73RV with Lippert 1116 and 1716 brackets, giving you the spacing needed to get everything lined up for installation.
