What is Maxx Coat on DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit and Why is There a Mix of That and Stainless Steel

Question:
What is the maxx coating on this and why is part of it stainless and part of it maxx?

Expert Reply:
The DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit - Maxx Coat/Stainless - 3,500 lbs # DE46YR uses stainless steel calipers and a Maxx coating on the hub and rotor. This Maxx coating is a special coating made by DeeMaxx and has a 1,000 hour salt-spray rating, which is pretty impressive in and of itself.
The reason why there is a mix between the Maxx Coat and Stainless Steel is that a full Stainless kit would cost more, so DeeMaxx has come up with this hybrid kit to help keep the cost down.
