How to Measure to Determine the Correct Grease Seal on a Trailer Hub

Question:
I have a shorelander boat trailer. Dual wheels I am repacking the bearings and would like to replalce the seals. All the wheels have bearing buddies. Is it necessary to measure the spindle or can you cross reference the number on the old seals? The number on the seal is national 4733336-ss0 Thank you

I could not find any information on the seal number you listed so yes, you will need to take an accurate measurement of the outside diameter of your existing seal, or the inside diameter of the mounting surface for the seal in the hub. You will also need an accurate measurement of the spindle at the seal surface. I have posted a photo to show the dimensions you will need to measure. A dial caliper will provide an accurate measurement to determine the correct seal for your hub and spindle.
I attached a link to a page that has all of the seals we offer.
