For a complete towing setup you will need a hitch, 4-way, 7-way, ball mount, and a brake controller. I recommend the following for your 2024 Kia Sportage:
-etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e38KR
-Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # C99DR
-Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires # ETBC7
-Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller - Dash Knob - 1 to 2 Axles - Proportional # RED24FR
-etrailer Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches - 7,500 lbs # 989900
The etrailer hitch has a bolt-on installation with a max gross towing weight of 3,500 lbs and max tongue weight of 525 lbs. It also features a matte black powder coat finish which gives it an OEM look and helps hide scratches. The Curt wiring harness plugs in behind your tail lights and gives you a 4-way. Once installed, you can use the # ETBC7 to upgrade to a 7-way. This comes with the adapter, wiring, and everything else required.
The main unit of the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller installs behind the dash. This means only the control knob will be visible which gives it a nice clean look. It also won't be taking up space in the cab of your vehicle. The knobs controls the braking power and also acts as the manual override. The # RED69FR wiring harness will be required for installation.
I have attached some review and installation videos below for your reference.
