Will the Load Resistor Kit Solve The Bulb Out Error On a 2018 Ram 3500 Flat Bed

Question:

2018 dodge 3500 with flat bed and led stop turn etc. works fine but indicates bulb out.. but when connect to a trialer light wont work or hyper flash. will this correct this issue.. how do they install.. Load Resistor Kit for LED Turn Signals - 50 Watts - 6 Ohm - Qty 2 Item # DI34ZR

It does sound like the Load Resistor Kit # DI34ZR will fix your bulb out issue on your 2018 Ram 3500 with a flat bed. Each resistor mounts in line just before the led tail light. This adds resistance to the wiring which will give the illusion the LED bulb is pulling more power similar to a incandescent light bulb. If your brake lights are separate from the turn signal you may need additional resistors for the separate brake lights as well if they are also causing a bulb out error.

As far as the issue when also connected to a trailer you will want to see how the flat beds tail lights were wired into the truck. It may be that the installer only wired the flatbed into the trailer lights and this is causing your issue when connected to the trailer.
