How to Grease Bearings on Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly

Question:
Since there are no grease fittings on the hub or axle, would something like a buddy bearing work? Or, do I just check and repack the bearings manually on a routine basis? Thanks for your help.

Both options you mentioned will work and are acceptable. You can either repack and inspect them manually or add a bearing buddy like # BB1980A-SS to the # AKIHUB-440-2-G-EZ-1K. The bearing buddies have a blue indicator ring that sits flush with the top of the cylinder when full so you just need to monitor that to keep them properly greased.
