Does SMI DUO Stay N Play Create Vacuum for Vacuum Assist Brakes

Question:

I have a question about how the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System w/ Wireless Coachlink Monitor - Proportional Item # DM86VR, creates the vacuum needed to move the hydraulic cylinder to apply the brakes. If the car is not running there will be no vacuum created. I am guessing the main unit installed is a small compressor that creates the vacuum so it will not need the engine running.

So the DUO does not need your vacuum assist brakes to have vacuum to push the brakes hard enough to stop the vehicle. The system basically is strong enough to be able to press the pedal hard enough without the vacuum assist.
