Does Draw-Tite Hitch For 2022 Mercedes GLB Require Cutting of Heat Shield to Install

Question:
Is there any cutting or modifications required to install this standard “bolt on” hitch? I noticed there is shrouding and plastic underneath my bumper on my 2022 Mercedes GLB 250 with AMG trim. There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of room on the rear bumper for installation for the receiver to route under the bumper. Installation video would be beneficial can’t find one. I have already ordered then non-removable receiver option from you guys and am awaiting arrival. Thanks.

Yes, you do have to do some cutting of the heat shield on your 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT77YR.
I have added a photo from the instructions (linked below) which show the amount of trimming required.
