Question:
Hi, I am researching Malone kayak trailers and would like some input. I would carry 1 to 4 10 and 12 ft kayaks. What is the major differences or deciding factor between the EcoLight and MicroSport trailer? I am also looking at the MicroSport XT only for the rectractable tongue feature, but is there any other major significance in the XT? Please advise. Thank you

The big difference between the two trailers is the EcoLight trailers like part # MAL43FR were made to be lighter weight for smaller vehicles and have lower weight capacities. This weighs 145 lbs and has a 400 lb capacity whereas the MicroSport # MPG461KB weighs 240 lbs and has an 800 lb capacity. So it comes down to what you are looking to carry and your tow vehicle which would make most sense to go with.
The XT model part # MPG460XT only has the retractable tongue.
