Question:
Installed the Yakima SmarT-Slot Kit 1 8002122 with the Yakima HighSpeed 8002115 for the Tesla Model Y OEM Yakima Roof Rack 1036105 REV A. The clamp pads in the front and the rear do not sit flush and overhangs. 1st photo is rear. 2nd and 3rd photo are the front. Is my installation incorrect? Thank you,

Helpful Expert Reply:
This does not look out of the ordinary at all. Different shapes of crossbars, and the angle of the OEM crossbars can cause the pads to not sit entirely flush. As long as the T-slot hardware on your Yakima HighSpeed # Y54NJ is all installed correctly and tightened to specification the rack will be secure and ok to use.
