Question:
Hey I’m looking for a brake controller for my 08 Tahoe ltz. I’ll be towing a 5200lb pull behind camper. I’d like a controller and the correct wiring harness for plug and play. Thanks

I have a great brake controller for your 2008 Chevy Tahoe but GM did not install the necessary port for a plug and play harness in your SUV so you will have to hardwire one in.
The best option brake controller for your 2008 Chevy Tahoe LTZ is going to be the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller item # RED24FR. This is a proportional brake controller that activates your trailer's brakes when your Tahoe decelerates.
The reason the Tow-Pro Liberty is the best option is because of its unique installation method where the only visible portion is the control knob that's about the size of a nickel. The main unit is hidden away inside your dash to be completely out of the way and out of sight.
You will need the Universal Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers item # RED69FR to complete the installation, since your Tahoe does not a brake controller port installed from the factory.
If you are adamantly against cutting and splicing wires the only other option I have for you is the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller item # C51180 which plugs directly into your 7-way connector and is controlled by an app on your phone.
