Since there isn't an adapter available to convert the 4-way to a 7-way your best option would be to cut off the 4-way and wire it to a 7-way connector like part # A7WCB. This way your trailer will not require an adapter and everything would work.

Good afternoon Jameson, A couple of months ago you helped me with some upgrades for both my trusty old 1991 YJ and some upgrades for my RV. The one product that I think I failed to order (I haven't completed all the miscellaneous upgrade/replacements yet so it still might be in a box somewhere) is the brake-light/turn signal wiring kit for my '91 YJ so I can flat-tow it behind my RV. My RV has the round 6-pin receiver and you had recommended a wiring harness kit so the YJs brake lights and turn signals would sync-up with the RV. Remind me.....which kit was that ?! Also, I wonder if this magnetic kit (337TL257M) would be the simplest approach? But then I would need to do some wiring/splicing to discard the 4 plug connector that is built-in to this magnetic set and re-wire and re-place a new round 6 pin connector in place of the 4 pin connector the kit come with. Although I'm a slightly above average handyman kinda' guy, wiring/splicing is not my strong suit. How difficult would it be to cut of the 4 pin and replace it with the 6-pin. How would I know which wires go where for the conversion? Is (A7WCP) that part? David Hollis
