Installation of the Curt Wiring Harness C59236 on my 2011 BMW X5

Question:
I installed the C59236 on my 2011 bmw x5 35d. I have everything working correctly except for the running lights. The right side running light is on even with the vehicle off, and the left side does not come on. Brake lights, left and right turn function properly. Trailer is 4 pole wiring aluma 6310H. Any ideas?

Expert Reply:
On German vehicles there is a right side warning light that is mandated over there. You will need to find the actual running light rather than the right side safety light.
Check out the video I've linked on the 2014 model that can help identify the one you want.
