Towing setups aren’t always the same, and this adapter makes it easy to switch between trailers with different connectors. The TowSmart ProClass adapter converts a 4-way flat to a 7-blade connection so you can hook up a variety of trailers without rewiring or carrying multiple cords.
No more guessing whether the lights are powered correctly. The built-in wire tester lets you see signal function right on the connector, so you can confirm your running, brake, and turn lights are all good before hitting the road.
Plugging in trailer wiring can be tough when connectors are tight or wet. The Ergo Grip design gives you a solid, comfortable hold that makes connecting and disconnecting smoother and faster, even when wearing gloves.
With its universal fit and plug-only style, this adapter works across a wide range of towing setups. It’s a straightforward tool that keeps your wiring simple and dependable every time you tow.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this TowSmart pro class plugin trailer connector adapter with wire tester. Now, this TowSmart pro class adapter is going to convert your four-way flat vehicle wiring to fit a seven-way trailer plug, and it is a plug and play solution for light duty towing. If you notice, we do have a built-in LED tester that's gonna confirm that brake lights, tail lights, and turn signals are working. And the molded grip is gonna make it very easy to plug this in and remove it without tools. As you can see, we do have this loop here, I think they call it the euro grip that you can use to pull that out.
So it feels like it's pretty durable construction on the four way flat here. You've got a a tethered cap there to keep that plug protected from moisture, dirt, debris when it's not in use. But I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.

So easy to use! Love it!
It’s what I needed for my trailer conne ction
Everything was perfect with the product. Nothing was damaged and it worked just like I needed !!!
Adapter is configured as advertised; however, the 7 blade plug was slightly too large to fit in my Audi Q5 receptacle. Fortunately I was able to hand sand down the adapter shell enough with 80 grit to get it to slip in and out of the receptacle. All connections were made and all lights functioned fine.

Thanks for reaching out! The TowSmart #TS89RR does have a larger molded housing around the 7-way plug. On some Audi Q5 models, the factory 7-way socket is recessed enough that the housing can contact the surrounding trim or hitch before the plug is fully seated. If that's what you're seeing, it's likely a clearance issue rather than a problem with your vehicle or the adapter. A more compact 7-way adapter would be a better fit in this situation, but I'm glad you were able to make it work with some modification.
