How are the nerf bars mounted ? Are they mounted to the frame or are they mounted using the body mount bolts?

The Westin E-Series Round Nerf Bars # 23-0500 for a 1988-2000 Chevy/GMC C/K install on the frame/body mount. You will actually remove the body mount bolts, then per the instructions, "attach the Bracket to the body mount."
