Where Does Third Brake Light Camera Kit for 2022 Ford F-350 Get Power and Ground

Question:

My 2022 F350 lariat has the auto dimming feature. There is a plug in the back of the mirror. Can this be used to power the mirror or does it need to be tucked out of the way? Will it cause any codes to come up if the factory mirror is disconnected? Also, can the trigger wire be connected to the backup lights in the fuse panel to turn the camera on when in reverse?

The third brake light camera kit part # 3460005 that fits your 2022 Ford F-350 # 3460005 is designed to have it's power and ground wire ran to the truck battery. This is how I would have to recommend you install it. There won't be any codes or error messages. If you wanted the trigger wire to be the reverse light circuit you certainly can.
