Question:

Hi, Im looking to purchase a trailer hitch for a 2016 Mazda3 Sedan, I believe the hatch + sedan are different part #. Could you send me a link to the correct part? Also, I am mainly looking to tow a motorcycle trailer + 1 motorcycle, would a class 1 be able to handle the weight? Car has a manual transmission Thank you

I can definitely help set you up. You are correct in that the fitment is different for the sedan and hatchback models. For your 2016 Mazda 3 sedan I recommend the Draw Tite Class 1 # 24912. I prefer this hitch over the others we offer mainly because it will be the easiest to install. The other hitches require trimming of the bumper fascia, while the # 24912 will not. This is a standard class 1 hitch rated for towing up to 2,000 lbs. So as long as your trailer and motorcycle weigh 2,000 lbs or less combined, this will be up to the task.

For a wiring harness I recommend the Tekonsha # 118405. This is a standard T-harness that plugs in behind your tail lights. You do also need to run a wire to the battery for 12v power. This has a 4-flat trailer connector, which will be all you need for a small motorcycle trailer.
