Question:
Hello, just ordered the MaxxAir MaxxFan Mini Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Manual Lift - 4 Speed - White ITEM # MA00-04301M for a cargo trailer. Could you please explain what parts I would need to hook up a deep cycle battery to power the fan and dome light? The trailer has a four-way pin and I want to power the fan when not connected to the truck. What fuses, wires, connectors, or other items might I need to charge the battery, and power the lights and fan?

To power the Maxxair RV Mini Roof Vent part # MA00-04301M from a battery you would need to basically just run the two power and ground wires from it to the battery you will install in your trailer. I would go with 12 gauge wire like part # 12-1-1 which we sell by the foot. There would be no need for fuses or anything else but for butt connectors we have the part # DW05745-5.
To convert the 4-way of your vehicle to a 7-way with an active 12 volt accessory circuit you would just need the part # ETBC7L which comes with everything needed on that side of the wiring. Then on the trailer side you would want the junction box kit part # e99011.
