Question:

I am looking for a class 3 trailer hitch and wiring harness for a 2023 KIA Sportage Plug-In Hybrid. As I understand it, the Sportage plug-in hybrid and standard Sportage hybrid would be the same hitch. I am not 100 sure if the harness is the same.

For a class 3 hitch for your 2023 KIA Sportage Plug-In Hybrid I recommend the Curt hitch # C94WR. According to Curt, this will fit all models of the 2023 KIA Sportage. I like this Curt hitch because it has a higher tongue weight rating (525 lbs) than the Draw-tite brand hitch. This would be beneficial if you intend to use a bike rack or cargo carrier as it will be more versatile and will allow you to carry more weight.

As far as the wiring it will be the same wiring for hybrid or plug in hybrid models. I recommend the Curt T-Connector wiring harness # C99DR. This will plug in behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights and you will run a hot lead to the car battery.
