This completely hidden, custom-fit hitch installs behind your vehicle's rear bumper so that the cross tube is always out of sight. Receiver easily removes when not in use. Stainless steel receiver resists corrosion.

The EcoHitch Stealth trailer hitch is designed to be completely out of sight when you're not towing. The hitch's cross tube bolts onto your vehicle's frame, behind your rear bumper. No drilling or welding is required. Once installed, the cross tube will be completely concealed and only the receiver will be visible beneath your bumper. But unlike other hitches with hidden cross tubes, the Stealth goes one further. You can remove the receiver portion of the hitch for a completely out-of-sight setup. To mount the receiver, just insert it up into the access port that is built into the cross tube. Secure the receiver to the hitch with the supplied bolt and washers. When you're done towing, just remove the receiver portion to return your vehicle to its clean, factory appearance.
With a combination of aerospace-grade aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, each EcoHitch is made of a strong metal alloy that will stand the test of time. The lightweight alloy is composed of recycled materials. Traditional steel hitch manufacturing can use coal or oil, which can contribute to harmful gas emissions. I bought this for the gas version of 2026 Sportage X-Pro-Prestige, so all of the following is for that car and may not be true for yours. I am not sure if the differences I saw are due to my car being gas or being new (2026).
There are 3 threaded holes in each of the 2 rails the hitch attaches to, designed for the OEM hitch. These holes lined up perfectly with the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch's holes. However, this hitch, I guess due to being higher load rating than OEM, uses an extra attachment point, for which it requires you to place a rectangular plate and a bolt into a 1" cutout in the rail, further towards the front of the car. I am not sure if the position of this hole is different in the hybrid, or if this is new to 2026, but now that holes is ~1.5" closer to the back of the car, and the hole in the hitch does not line up. I went ahead and drilled a new hole in the right spot, after which point the installation was straightforward and successful. The hitch is completely hidden, and the departure angle is unaffected. When needed, the receiver part can be installed in a minute.
Extremely well built and easy to install, even a do it yourself or can do it with a little help.
9 days to northern Alberta. Box was ripped in 3 places however the three items were taped together. I would’ve taped them together a bit better though. Almost full marks!
