Converting From 4 On 9.44 to 5 On 5 Bolt Pattern

Question:

I currently have a trailer that looks to be using old RV axles/hubs. The wheels are 4 on 9.44” and I am wanting to convert to 5x5 lug pattern. What all would I need to replace?

If you want to convert to a 5 on 5 bolt pattern the only option is for 3,500 lb axles. Assuming you have # L68149 inner and # L44649 outer bearings you could use # AKIHUB-550-35-EZ-K for an idler hub or # AKHD-550-35-EZ-K for a hub and drum assembly. If not, you would be looking at replacement axles which would require measuring the hub face to hub face length. You will also need to know the capacity. If it is above 3,500 lbs then there is no option available to work with the 5 on 5 bolt pattern.
