Question:
I have a 22 Kia Sorento X-Line EX AWD Turbo. I am needing to add a 7 way plug. I already have a hitch and installed a 4 way plug harness using the Y harness kit. Just today I found the tow harness plug behind my left rear tire but doesnt have the other plug that you show in your 7 way harness kit. I already have a 4 to 7 plug kit but need to wire to the additional wiring and brake controller. I can make a wiring harness and even hardwire it but is there another module I need to be using to protect my vehicles wiring ?

So basically you're just needing to install a wiring kit like our Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 on your 2022 Kia Sorento.
Since you already have the 4-Way/7-Way connector you just need the Wiring Kit # 5506 to finish out your installation as it comes with 25' of wire as well as some circuit breakers and wiring connections needed to make a 7-Way fully functional.
I'm attaching a link to a review video of our universal kit so you can get a good idea of how all of these pieces are supposed to fit together.

Chris did you figure out where to tie in i am in the same predicament and can do custom wiring but have no clue where to tie into the signal wire. I am tempted to install another switch on the side of the existing.
