Can The Rhino-Rack Antenna Mount Be Mounted To 80/20 Extruded Aluminum Crossbars

Question:
I see a lot of vehicle-specific and rack-specific questions so thought Id ask a general one. Can this item mount directly to an extruded aluminum crossbar such as that made by 80/20?

Expert Reply:
Yes, the Antenna Mounting Bracket for Rhino-Rack Crossbars and Platforms # RR43196 can mount into the t-slot channel of an 80/20 extruded aluminum crossbar. Depending on the profile/size of the channel you may have to trim down the included mounting brackets a tiny bit or get some new ones from your local hardware store to fit. I've attached a customer submitted photo below showing where they mounted it into this style railing.
