I have a 2015 honda odyssey with raised roof rails, looking for a load assist option for kayak. Similar to the thule hullavator and yakima showdown. Was wondering if either of those options would work with my 2015 honda odyssey with factory roof rails. Also which crossbars would work with this type of setup?

Yes there is both a roof rack and kayak carrier with load assist that you can use with your 2015 Honda Odyssey with raised side rails. To get the proper amount of overhang your roof rack will need longer, 65 inch crossbars, and the Malone AirFlow2 will be perfect (and even comes in your choice of silver or black). This will allow you to use the Yakima ShowDown you mentioned, so here is exactly what you need:
- Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack - Silver # MPG217 or Black # MAL24AR
- Yakima ShowDown Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist # Y04081
The Malone AirFlow2 comes with locks to secure it to your roof rails, so the only other thing I recommend considering are locks for the ShowDown to keep it safe; for that use the Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores # Y07202.
