Will The Thule Hullavator Work With A Malone SteelTop Square Bar Roof Rack MPG202

Question:

I purchased the Malone mpg203 cross rails for my thuke hullavator after seeing on upur site that it would fit. I am trying to install it but the main bar will not clear the plastic cap that secures the bars to the side rails. I am thinking I needed rails that sit on top of the clamps???

I am sorry if we provided you with bad info here. I believe we made some assumptions about the Malone roof rack that were not accurate. The Hullavator # TH898 is made to work with a square bar roof rack, but it has to be the Thule brand. As you can see the Malone towers on the # MPG202 are shaped a bit differently from the Thule brand, and will not fit. The Hullavator will also work with any crossbar that sits on top of the tower, and has a top channel. Malone makes the Airflow2 # MAL84AR which would work with the Hullivator with no issue.
