Quality of Malone AirFlow 2 Crossbars

Question:

How does the Malone AirFlow2 MPG216 crossbars compare to Yakima, Thule, etc.? I am looking for some crossbars for my 13 Highlander and am looking to put a cargo box on it once or twice a year to travel.

The Malone # MPG216 AirFlow 2 roof rack is what I'd refer to as a budget-priced product. The quality is pretty decent, but they don't quite reach the Yakima/Thule pinnacle. If the roof rack will see daily or weekly use, it wouldn't be what I recommend for you. For the occasional user like you, there's absolutely no reason not to go with a less-expensive choice like the # MPG216 Malone AirFlow 2. They will work perfectly for you, and as you can see on the linked product description page, the crossbar system is very highly rated by our customers.
