Troubleshooting Communication Error Between A Dometic Thermostat And Advent Air AC Unit

Question:
I bought an Advent air 15000 btu. How do you pair up the thermostat that I already have? It is for the medic dual therm to my AC. Because the AC keeps running and running and running and not shutting off until I turn the thermostat all the way up to 90 then it shuts off.

There isn't a way to pair the thermostat to the # ACM150 since it communicates through the controller but it definitely sounds like you're having a communication error between the thermostat and the condenser unit. This could be as simple as the temperature probe for controller not being in the correct place and sensing that the temperature has reached your desired setting. I would start by removing your air distribution box cover and looking for your controller and find the temperature probe and ensure that it's close the condenser coils instead of off to the side.
This could also be a sign that the thermostat itself is just in need of replacement. You might be able to find a replacement secondhand but by the looks of it it's most likely a discontinued part. You could try reaching out to Dometic directly with your model number to see if one of their other models is compatible with the system, otherwise you'll have to replace the air distribution and thermostat with the Air Distribution Box w/ Wall-Mounted Thermostat for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners - White # ACRG15.
