What Causes RV Water Tank to Overfill When Connected to City Water

Question:

Shurflo 4008-101-A65 in 2019 Forest River Surveyor is allowing fresh water tank to overflow when camper on city water. Will replace with new A65 or E65. Which do you recommend? Also want to put back up check valve adjacent to new pump. Which do you recommend that fits the Shurflo and where should it be installed?

The problem you are having is the check valve of your water pump leaking water and filling your tanks to the point of overfilling them. We actually don't carry the Shurflo brand so we aren't much help picking between the two models you have listed. Our most popular option is the Seaflo part # SE24FR which is rated for 60 psi and 5 gallons per minute. This will be a nice bump in water pressure above what you have now. This has a really solid check valve as well which will prevent the problem you have.
