Comparing Curt C96NR and C97JR for 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L

Im trying to purchase a towing hitch for my New the 2023 Jeep Grand cherokee L Overland 4x2 but i see two hitches come up? Whats the difference? One is C96NR and the other is C97JR? Which one is best ?

The C97JR and # C96NR are virtually identical. The only difference is that the # C96NR has a slightly updated design which allows it to fit other Grand Cherokee models. It has also completely replaced the C97JR so that hitch is now obsolete.

If you plan on towing, you will also want the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK39VR. This will plug into the connection points behind your tail lights. Once installed, you will have a 4-way to power your trailer's signal lights. If you need a ball mount, check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
