The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C52NR for your 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 is going to sit approximately 1-1/2" below the lower bumper valance. We do have the EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH57FR which will sit above the bottom of the lower bumper valance but will also require a larger cutout on the front of your truck.
