Does this hitch get installed to the bumper or to the frame? Seems theres an easier install process if it is to the frame since theres no need to remove the back fascia?

The Hidden Hitch by Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch item # DT62GR is installed into the frame by removing the back bumper cover on the 2022 Tiguan. The etrailer Hitch item # e43ZR attaches to the sides of the frame from below if you're looking for an easier install. Both hitches are confirmed to fit the 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56403 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
